Big Beauty at Marc by Marc Jacobs

For a good time,
Because we love to go big…
So go big or go home!

Now that Fashion week has officially jumped across the pond I can take a moment to get everyone caught up. I had hoped to get this post up sooner, however with Marc Jacobs moving the shows around this season because of delays in getting fabrics and accessories through customs Marc by Marc Jacobs moved to the tents on Monday night, followed by the Marc Jacobs Party, and Marc Jacobs moved to close out New York Fashion Week Thursday night.

The overall look was BIG to say the least. And I liked it. The lights went out and the girls began marching down the runway to Tame Impala with music done by Frederic Sanchez.

THE HAIR –Anyone who has spoken to me in the last several months knows that I have been trying to follow in the same footsteps as Leandra Medine to recreate what she has coined as “French Hair.” My interpretation of “french hair” is a look that is big, messy, and appears to take no effort at all.
Guido Palau for Redken hit the nail on the head with the BIG hair at Marc by Marc Jacobs!!!

THE MAKE-UP –
Dick Page for Shiseido created a BIG red lip with minimal eyes. Page told Elle.com he took inspiration from the French actress Fanny Ardant. Because the hair was so demented he chose to keep the make-up classic. The models looked like they were wearing no foundation, no blush, with greasy eyelids which is a signature of Dick Page

THE NAILS –
As we saw at the Catherine Malandrino show, the nails were very minimal. The girls wore a pale shade that was done by MARC JACOBS BEAUTY.What is Marc Jacobs Beauty? I can’t wait to tell you all about it!!!! But until then just know that Marc Jacobs is launching a beauty collection for Fall 2013.

The fall ’13 collection showed Jacobs channeling ’40s heroine vibes, it seems like the Marc by Marc Jacobs girl has grown up.

After the show we were off to the Marc Jacobs party at the Harvard Club. Feeling very inspired we did our best to recreate the look with Big Hair and Big Lips. We laughed, and we danced, and had a really really really good time to Alison Mosshart from the Kills (and the dead weather) spinning like a hellafied gangsta lean gettin funky on the

mic like an old batch of collar greens.

***beauty always comes from within, photos from Katerina, myself,  here , there, and everywhere.  xoxo, behind the mirror***
