Wow! I had read about this exhibit and wished that I could go. Your photographs are really fantastic! So thankful that you shared them…but sad to learn that they are tearing down such a beautiful space!

    • I know! and the worst part is they are building “luxury condos” like we don’t have enough of those in the city… I wish they could compromise and restore the refinery into lofts or something that could keep the place intact. It really is an amazing space.

I do actually wish I was there. This work is quite amazing and I’d love to experience it first hand. These photos are quite amazing but you can never truly appreciate art until you see it in person.

    • This is so true, I tried to capture the enourmousity (made up word? most likely) of the exhibit because it was a huge place and so beautiful.

  • Sarah

Impressive, especially the size of the white sculpture!

    • It was quite impressive. The space is huge! It is such a shame they are going to tear it down to build luxury condos along the river :(

  • Natalia

Beautiful and haunting at the same time. x

    • Those were my thoughts exactly. It is such a beautiful exhibit, but the child slaves made from molasses are very haunting.
