Lessons Learned in 2014

lesson learned 2014c

Wow. It’s the end of 2014 already. I feel like this year really flew by. I’ve learned so many lessons this year, I don’t even know where to begin. I am sure this list doesn’t even begin to cover it. But, it seems like a good place to start. I love to reflect on the years as they draw to a close. Each year I learn so many new and different and (*cough) wise things. This year of course was no different.

1.) Negativity at work is bad.
2.) Reading is the ideal form of entertainment.
3.) Feeling great relies on a combination of physical and mental health – mainly the result of your diet, your exercise regimen, and your sleep cycles.

4.) Less is more, especially when it comes to material possessions.
5.) We still have great strides to go when it comes to body image.
6.) Everyone gets in a Funk sometimes, and that’s ok!

7.) Sometimes, it’s best to forget shit and move on.
8.) Simple changes create a happier you.
9.) Perfection is impossible.

(Also, skincare is my new make-up, as in the first photo above… and I love it!)

    • Thank you so much, I’ve been hesitant to put up a photo of my new #nomakeup style. The positive response is really appreciated!

  • so many things along the way… and a new start. It’s funny how I can remember personal moments that happened last year thinking about your posts… in example, with “forget shit and move on” I was in a period of changes, not shitty ones to be honest, but your post reminded me a couple of things that made this period easier; “less is more” used to be one of my mantras, so difficult to keep with the pass of the years but so needed at he same time! Many thanks for your words and for sharing your experiences :)
