I don’t talk a lot about fashion because sometimes it feels all-consuming. I work all day in fashion, I have more than a general interest in fashion, and Amiram also works in fashion. After I get home at night, and Amiram and I finish talking about our days, I don’t often feel like talking more about fashion. But, when I love something as much as I love Trouble… I talk about it.

Have you ever had a moment when you just knew you needed to step your game up? Like, you’ve looked like shit for about 3 months in a row and it’s time. It’s just time. For me, this moment came walking home from work one night, most likely in the snow.

A tall, beautiful woman on spring street was saying good bye to someone while hailing a cab. She was wearing a long white wool coat that was very unique. It was the type of coat that makes one feel the way Marion Cotillard’s Dior dress at the 2015 Oscars made one feel. At first, you’re like, “What’s going on here?” Which moves into, “Wow, that is amazing.” And, is followed up by, “Could I pull that off?” The last thought usually remains unanswered.

The tall, beautiful woman was also carrying a grey bag on a long, silver chain. I remember the chain caught my eye because of how the light hit it, mostly likely due to snow.
The next day I found Trouble. That’s her name, Trouble. To me she is perfect. Upon first inspection, Trouble seems heavy because of the chain. But, what I’ve learned is with or without a bunch of stuff inside the bag weighs about the same. It doesn’t really make a difference what I cram in there, the bag just weighs the same. So… in the end, the bag isn’t that heavy.

The inside is lined with leather and has four differently sized sections. While the bag appears to be small, it holds everything I need with ease. I currently have the following items in the bag: sunglasses inside the sunglasses case, two lipsticks, a clinique compact, phone, keys, wallet, and some random shekels from our recent trip.

The best thing about this bag is how it sits on your shoulder. It is secure. The other day I walked 20 minutes to work, stopped, got a coffee, went in and out of the bag, and never once had to adjust it on my shoulder. This never happens. I have plenty of long chain bags that I end up wearing cross-body because they slip off my shoulder. But, not Trouble. The chain is the perfect weight and length.

No bag is actually perfect and Trouble isn’t cheap. I also went with the suede… Not a great plan for an everyday bag. Nonetheless, Trouble goes with me everywhere I go, both figuratively and literally.
