Seasons come and go. My favorite thing about music is how easy it is to forget about a song. Even if it’s a song that you listened to on repeat for weeks. That moment you hear a song you completely forgot about and it instantly takes you back to the season you listened to it is the most amazing trick on the mind. I am sure there is a scientific reason for it. There usually is. But, hopefully scientists are concentrating on cancer. Just saying. Priorities. Although, I once read that everyone listens to songs on repeat over and over, and it’s sort of taboo because people don’t realize and they mostly think they are the only one doing this. You aren’t. Now you can sleep at night. You’re welcome.
Last week was a rough week for a lot of us. Not only was it disappointing, it was exhausting and a real slap in the face to women everywhere in the United States. By the time the weekend rolled around I was in the need for a real good play list to shimmy to. Like all nasty women, I enjoy a good shimmy for some peace of mind for a minute. Clearly, there’s a lot of work to be done.
