It is finally the moment of the ponytail. Back when models were walking the FA13 runways (and even before that) the pony made heads turn. That seems like a bit much, but it is finally cold enough outside to embrace some of the fall runway looks, so this is a good starting point.
A Hairbrush For Forever
For the Last Time,
Because it has almost been a year… So it is time to go with something new!I am not going to lie to you, I don’t even brush my hair everyday… In fact, if a hair is out of place most of the time I just cut it off with the handy hair cutting scissors I keep on the bathroom counter. This is also why next week when I go get my haircut I am taking a picture of Freja Beha Erichsen. I have a sneaking suspicion she doesn’t brush her hair either. And if she does, it doesn’t look like it, so it is exactly the look I am going for.
Acceptance vs. Denial: Fall Favorites

Because she doesn’t have to live in denial… So I am trying to live in acceptance!!!Denial. Denial is a wonderful condition in which to live… not always, but sometimes. Labor Day weekend marks the end of summer. However, given the industry that I work in, directly after Labor Day weekend I am thrust (and not a good type of thrust) into New York Fashion Week. By the time all of this slows down and I have a second to accept that Summer is in fact over, reality hits me first. Hits me right up against the face when I look in the mirror. Everything I worked on over the last four months is fading fast. The color of my skin, the clear complexion, my natural highlights, my summer glow (if you will) is slowly but surely going to shit. Every morning. Right in front of my very own eyes. I wish I could live in denial.

New York Fashion Week was last week. Again. While I am sure everyone is dying to know how my NYFW went, unless you are interested in the clickety clackety of my fingers hitting the keyboard “over and over, and over, and over, and over like a monkey with a miniature symbol” we should move on. Among other things, NYFW can also be blamed for my lack of posts. Really, it is time to move on.
So, as my fingers were clickety clacking at my keyboard far past an appropriate time for the day to end, I reminisced over a time much less busy. It was then that I remembered that time I wasn’t invited to the Met Gala. That was one serious case of FOMO, but after a glass of wine I was over it… (more…)

Because some chapters come to an end… So new chapters begin!!!It’s no secret summer is coming to an end. Claire and I know all too well that sometimes things we don’t want to end do… Chapters end and new ones begin. Summer ends and Fall begins, it happens every year, but that doesn’t mean I like it.
It is also no secret that I have been going to the beach a whole lot lately… pretty much every weekend except for one that God forgot about me and my happiness so it rained. This is the main reason I don’t want summer to end. Loads of friends can back me up on this one… My insta feed has been blown up with photos of my feet in the sand, my beach cocktails, and the waves… Obviously. Not. Really. I am much more creative than that… however, there is some pics of a kiddie pool and a tepee. I digress. (more…)
