Remember that time I said I was starting a new series on the blog with product reviews… And then proceeded to never post another straight up product review ever again… (I mean, I give my opinion on products but to call this a review might be a stretch, no?)
Here’s hoping for change… So, without further ado I am starting a new series on the blog today…

Once upon a 4th of July, on a hot, steamy and humid day mosquitoes and bugs flourished over the long forgotten barbecues of summers past. A short time before the holiday weekend and the same day I heard a repulsive story about eating cicadas on NPR this landed on my g-chat – “I have a behind the mirror challenge for you…” to which I replied “Bring It!” naturally…
“Bug Bites…like the best possible solution to reduce swelling and to avoid them without using jungle type bug spray!!! I mean…I use this Johnson & Johnson baby oil that has bug repellent in it, I’ve also had to wear the bracelets because apparently bugs love my blood… wearing a bracelet that is bug repellent ain’t exactly HOT.”

A Razor Thief in the Night

So this is what I have learned!
 
It’s Monday and that sucks. Let me tell you a story to make it better. Several years ago after a bad breakup I found myself sharing a bed with my friend Claire and sharing an apartment with my friends Megan and Claire. While most nights were filled with way too much wine to drown my sorrows, the mornings were filled with me doing my best to at least shower. As I stayed there for almost six months and much exceeded my welcome, I took a very valuable piece of knowledge with me from what should have been dark times but were actually pretty fun in retrospect.

The Untold Story of Legs

For Holly,
Because some people were just born this way…
So the best we can do is imitate!
 
Everything I know about legs I learned from controlling my envy towards Holly. As a child my legs were abnormally skinny. To the point that I was called “chicken legs” until about the age of 18. (it only stopped because I left town at age 18. forever.) This brought a lot of teenage anxiety which led to me actually doing exercises to make my calves bigger… but the joke was on me because as we learned in Epic is the Era I don’t know how to workout. Needless to say my calves look about the same as they did back then.
