FaceShape3

As far as I can see, there are lots of options for face shapes these days. Each of us have some idea of what our face shape is, however those things change over time and every once in a while it’s probably a good thing to revisit. When that Kardashian tribe brought contouring tricks into the mainstream there began the focus on face shape. It’s the first step in contouring. I will get to some simple contouring tricks next week so stay tuned. And, I think you know it will be easy and fast so, seriously, stop back by next week.

Here is my main problem with figuring out my face shape, I’ve now asked 10 close friends what my face shape is and it left me more confused than I was before.

The results:
Oval 4
Heart 4
Oblong 2

Exactly.

Good News! You know how every time you’re at dinner and start to complain some clever guy in the corner says, “There’s an app for that?” Exactly. Sephora put together the easiest contouring lesson app that I could find. You upload a pic of yourself and it identifies your face shape along with many helpful hints on contouring. (http://www.sephoracontour.com/#/home) This is for sure the easiest way to figure out your face shape.

It’s important when identifying your face shape to not get lost in the details. There is a lot of grey. There are four basic face shapes: Heart, Round, Square, Oval. From there you can dive deeper into other shapes: Oblong, Diamond, Pear, Rectangle. For the sake of keeping things simple (although, experience proves nothing ever is… right?) I am focusing on the four basic shapes. Looking through the internet at celebrities with similar face shapes always comprar ao balcão helps.

Heart: If your chin is comparatively narrow to the rest of your face you most likely have a heart shape. It’s similar to round faces because the distance between your cheekbones is the widest but the difference is your chin vs. your forehead length.

Inspiration: Erin Wasson, Reese Witherspoon, Kerry Washington, Ginnifer Goodwin & Scarlett Johansson
