The Promised Land

For the Family,
Because they always welcome me with open arms,
So thank you!

I, like president Obama, spent last week in the promised land. As standing ovations from young Israelis for an endorsement of a Palestinian state by an enthusiastically Zionist African-American President whose middle name is Hussein were under way in Jerusalem, I was willing the sun to come out with all my might in Tel Aviv.
Obviously, my American friends and I had different agendas for the trip.
One thing remains the same in the promised land. Something like 2,000 years ago the Magi, a group of foreigners who visited Jesus after his birth, came bearing gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
While I didn’t receive gold, frankincense, or myrrh, I did rack up some amazing gifts completely appropriate for a beauty blogger.

Back in January I received a text suggesting I give Garnier Exfo- Brusher Wash at try.

After several attempts to locate this here in the states to no avail I found it waiting for me in the promised land.
The attached brush works to unclog impurities from pores and visibly reduces surface sebum levels.
Some of my favorite products in the Middle East come from a company called Laline. Founded in 1999 by two cousins the company uses essential oils and scents sourced in the Provence region of France and mineral salts from the Dead Sea, and marries them together until they reach perfect aroma and texture.
The Laline Gift List:
1. Body Souffle – deep moisture cream in vanilla.
2. Dream Cream Body Cream – a beautiful mix of cocoa butter, almond oil, and olive extract.
3. Double Bubble – obsessed with this bubble bath enriched with Dead Sea minerals, aloe vera, ginseng extract, and jojoba oil.
4. Body Peeling Soap – intense exfoliating for the skin.
5. Ellipse Sponge
6. Travel Hair Brush
Thank You!!!
Because it wouldn’t be right to receive gifts with out bearing some gifts. My girls at the Marc Jacobs office will enjoy getting some Dead Sea Mud. (Surprise.)
As per the back of the packaging the mud is known for having a strong cleansing capacity for absorbing pollutants, fat, and secretions. In addition, it is found to have capacities for rehabilitation, renewal, and strength-rheumatic pains, relieving symptoms of chronic inflammation and dryness of the skin.
