This is Not About Shaving
Some time ago, in a long forgotten land, also known as my apartment, I put up a post on how to shave. Frankly, no one cared, no one commented, and it had about zero page views. Which is the equivalent to death by a million paper cuts for a blogger. But that is fine, I only put my heart and soul into it, sharing with you, my dear readers, struggles with life, essentially being homeless, and resorting to stealing. But yeah, it makes sense that no one would notice…
Anywho, leaving the past in the past, I am NOT going to tell you any tips on how to shave. I am here to tell you another story that results in me almost resorting to stealing, yet again. Trust me when I tell you, my go-to is not taking things that don’t belong to me. It is just when I need something, well… I need it. And when a roommate, lover, or friend has what I need, and I am in a compromising situation which involves me not having clothes on because I am showering, yeah, I take things. So, what?
It is similar to the same lies you tell yourself… we get it, you are like the only person who ever buys toilet paper in the apartment. We know, and one day you are just going to stop. In fact, you keep a roll in your room just to prove a point… so as far as I am concerned we are the same. No judgements here.
Alas, there I was in the shower without any shaving gel. A compromising situation, if there ever was one. Luckily, I remembered a trick I read about over on the Huffington Post forever ago, thank the smooth shaving gods.
“If you’re out of shaving cream, lather your legs with conditioner instead of soap. Conditioner will soften the hair on your legs making it easier to shave (and it will leave your skin feeling extra silky).”
Quickly, I grabbed my bliss lemon + sage conditioner, my favorite schtick intuition razor, and as a result there is one less thief in the world.
Please, do tell: What is your favorite thing to steal?
