DIY: Soothing Magic Bath
I live for the weekends. Seriously. It makes me sad because I spend 5 of the 7 days in a week hoping for them to quickly pass so I can get to the fun part of my week. The weekend. You may be wondering why I wish for the majority of my week to pass so quickly.
This is why – I am not as young as I used to be and in this decade of my life, I find myself exhausted even by the thought of going out during the week. I don’t mean “going out” like meeting a friend at a bar about two blocks from the apartment and talking until 11pm about life, I can still manage to pull that off. I mean like “hit it hard going out.” This is reserved for the weekend because I am at this wonderful place in my life where I don’t have to get up early and do anything I don’t want to do on the weekends. Which is amazing. Therefore, I can go out all night if I want to on the weekends. Not that I really do that, but the point is I could. Although, if my older friends are any indication that energy will be gone soon too. (At which point I will have to exercise for energy and that seems like a dark place to be.)
So, you can imagine my annoyance when I woke up Saturday morning with a rash on my stomach and back. No need for too much concern, it was some mere red blotchy spots that itched like hell, and all I thought to myself was, “Ain’t this some shit trying to ruin my weekend.”
Needless to say, I did nothing. Sunday rolls around, not a lot better, but the constant reapplying of lotion kept me from removing my skin via my fingernails. There I was on Tuesday, back to my desk at work, and I couldn’t even stand to sit there with out squirming around in discomfort.
Again, no need for too much concern. It happens. I have extremely sensitive skin and almost anything gives me the itches, some hives, or better yet, swelling. But, everyone has their limits and being itchy for 4 days straight is mine. It was at this point that I diagnosed myself with a bad case of dry skin. I ruled out the other possibilities: eating something strange, laundry detergent switch, new soap, etc.
I stopped into the grocery store on my way home and put together my favorite soothing magic bath soak. I say it is my favorite because I basically took all of the knowledge I have when it comes to soothing baths and combined them into one powerful magic potion.https://lekarna-slovenija.com/proscar-brez-recepta-online/
What you need: (try to keep it organic, no one wants pesticides and growth hormones anywhere near their lady parts) 1 cup of oatmeal 1 TBS of coconut oil 4 cups of milk You could also add some essential oils (lavender, chamomile and rose hip work great) or some honey, but keep it simple. What you do: 1. Blend the coconut oil & oatmeal together in a food processer or blender until it forms a powder. 2. Dump everything into your warm bath (not hot.) 3. Soak for about 20 minutes with a nice glass of wine and a magazine. It has been quite the DIY week for me… What about you guys? Any other soothing baths that are your favorites?
