Stretch Marks & Cellulite

Stretch Marks & Cellulite, Behind the Mirror, Bliss Fat Girl Slim, Bio Oil, Strivectin

Breaking news (sort of old news, actually)! There is a girl on Instagram who’s sole purpose on the social media platform is to show off her ass. Seriously. This is why my taxes aren’t done. Because people like her exist to create insta feeds with her ass to waste my time and the free space in my brain. Not kidding, I just googled “Are unicorns real?” because I don’t even know what to believe anymore.

At the risk of sounding like I’m about 80 years old, it’s a mess out there. And what’s worse is legit publications like Elle are interviewing her. Andy Warhol was on to something when he said everybody gets 15 minutes of fame. I usually reserve this type of shock for finding out who Sean Penn is dating, since somehow one of the most unattractive men on earth continues to date the most beautiful women in the world.

All of this is to set the scene. My ass doesn’t look like insta girl’s ass or Sean Penn’s latest fling… a goal maybe, but most likely not. I prefer to keep things a bit more simple.

3 Main Concerns:

1.) cellulite
2.) stretch marks
3.) sagging

Concern #1 – Cellulite

Cellulite is a bitch. For the most part, from what I understand, it has a lot more to do with genetics than it does your day to day grooming or eating habits. Now, with that being said, it doesn’t mean you aren’t able to minimize the look of cellulite.

Dry Brushing is easy & improves circulation, exfoliates, and decreases the look of cellulite. Some self tanner never hurts. But, the one thing I do at night, when I have a little extra time is use Bliss Fat Girl Sleep.  The cream has “slenderize” complex that releases dimple diminishes and soothing lavender for up to 6 hours. It could be psychological but I do think I can tell a difference.

Concern #2 – Stretch Marks

Some of you may remember we discussed my love for Strivectin before. Honestly, this product scares me a little bit. It is serious, as in so serious women who are breast feeding can’t use it. For real, I know because I put it in a gift bag for a friend who had recently given birth. Nope, can’t use it, I had no idea… but, this is what I do know… this stuff was discovered by some one doing cancer research on how to rebuild skin layers. So long story short, it works.

I actually don’t use it every day because it is super strong and my skin doesn’t react well to using it everyday. I get red and blotchy. Which leads me to my in-between product Bio-oil.

Concern #3 – Sagging

There really isn’t a magic product for this one, believe me I have tried to find one. Unfortunately, Insta girl is on to something with this concern. Exercise and some yoga are the only things I have found that help keep things up.

And now for the comments… What do you guys use or do you even care about cellulite & stretch marks?

  • You know, I can remember when this line of products first came out and I thought the name was sad and that it was going to cause an uproar… and then it didn’t. Which is sad, but what is even more sad is I guess I just got over it and never really thought about the name after that. Great comment. Thank you for contributing! Oh, and yes the bio oil is amazing!

I have been binge-reading your posts and I LOVE your sense of humor and honesty. I don’t usually have problems with cellulite (no butt here to worry about), but I’m curious if that “slenderize” complex is legit..

    • Thank you so much!!! That is such a sweet comment, and I also wonder about this “slenderize” complex, but I swear (even if it is psychological) I can tell a difference. :)

This is too funny, in one post you name two things I concerned myself with lately: right yesterday I googled Sean and Charlize because I couldnt’ believe what I heard and had to see it with my own eyes! And a few weeks ago i was also stuck in miss butt’s instagram account for quite a while, being fascinated from nature’s abnormalities. Regarding cellulite, stretch marks and sagging…uhm…no special tips here but drinking a lot (water), working out, eating healthy, hot and cold showers…

    • yes! It is so shocking to the senses… and a cold shower should be mentioned. I read that a couple years ago and I try to jump in for a quick cold shower before running out in my bathing suit, haha. I feel like it just really tightens everything up.
